    Express Yourself!

    Portraits of individuals expressing themselves through their clothes or pastimes. Each image also carries a story, by a stranger, who knows nothing about the person and are just presented with the image to write a joke, story, impression.

    Travelling by train:

    There are two train stations in close proximity to the gallery. The closest is Southend Central Station serviced by c2c, running Shoeburyness to Fenchurch Street. Get your tickets on c2c’s Train Travel app on Play store and App store. Southend Victoria is serviced by Greater Anglia, running trains every fifteen minutes to Liverpool Street, and is approximately 10 minutes at a moderate pace from the gallery. Journey times are around fifty minutes. Both train-lines serve numerous destinations across Essex.

    Travelling by bus:

    There are numerous bus routes that serve Southend and the surrounding area. The number 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 29 buses all stop at the Southend-on-Sea Victoria Station Interchange which is a few minutes’ walk from the gallery through the High Street.

    Car and bicycle parking:

    There is a 24 hour public car park underneath University Square accessed via College Way. There are lifts in the carpark and step free access approximately 5 minutes away from the gallery at a moderate pace. There are three bays for Blue Badge holders on Farringdon Service Road alongside the Forum. A dedicated space for car and taxi drop-offs is located on Elmer Approach.     There is a bike rack located outside of The Forum.
