This is a hands-on workshop, which covers the more creative aspects of photography with a strong focus on developing an awareness of light and lighting. The aim is to develop confidence in creating strong and imaginative photographs through practical sessions. Yoke stresses that you can find interesting, eye catching images everywhere, in the home and going places. "It is all in the mind's EYE".

The structure of the workshop will be:
1. First a presentation and discussion of photographic images looking at lighting, composition, texture and form to create strong visual images. The aim of this discussion is to inspire participants to develop their own creative ideas.
2. Participants will then go out creating new images around Piccadilly and surroundings. Yoke will give advice on how to interpret a scene and to achieve the correct exposure.
3. Digital files are downloaded on laptops (please bring your own if you have one). Yoke gives constructive feed back on the work created.

Yoke is a photographer of 25 years and a founder member of LIP. She has worked as a lecturer and exhibition organizer for over 15 years. Her work is exhibited in the UK and abroad and can be found in major collections in the UK, the Netherlands and private collections.
